About Auckland Branch

TCANZ was formed in New Zealand's largest city and about one third of all TCANZ members live in Auckland.

Branch Meetings 

Branch meetings are held in Auckland on a monthly basis. These meetings are held as an informal round-table discussion session at a local bar in Mount Eden. TCANZ members and non members welcome.

Editing and Plain English Group

A special interest group (SIG) was set up in May 2010 with a focus on editing and plain English. Click the link in the left-hand menu to find out more about this SIG. 

Training Workshops 

In addition, training workshops are scheduled 2-3 times each year. Previous workshops include:

• Introduction to developing macros and templates in Microsoft Word
• Plain English for technical communicators
• Curriculum Vitae – Art or Science?
• Clinical skills for editors
• Information development for online delivery
• Introducing knowledge management
• Writing effective procedures.
