Payment Terms and Conditions

Payments made to the Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand (TechCommNZ) are subject to the following terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions cover the following areas:

  • Currency
  • Goods and services tax

Currency

All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars and include GST as indicated.

Goods and Services Tax

TechCommNZ is GST registered. All payments made to TechCommNZ are therefore subject to GST.

Payment Methods

When making payments to TechCommNZ you may elect to pay by either credit card or invoice, unless stated otherwise.

Credit card payments

Credit card payments to TechCommNZ are processed via a secure server on the website. TechCommNZ can accept credit card payments by Visa and MasterCard only.

Invoice payments

If you elect to make your payment to TechCommNZ by invoice, TechCommNZ will invoice you (or your delegate) to the email address you provide. You (or your delegate) may then pay the invoice by cheque, credit card (Visa or Mastercard only) or by internet banking (the TechCommNZ account number is on the invoice).

Refund Policy

The conditions of the TechCommNZ refund policy depend on the purpose of your payment.

Subscriptions

Subscription payments are non-refundable.

Training courses

TechCommNZ training courses may be either face-to-face workshops or online webinars.

Payments for courses are refundable up to two weeks before the scheduled start of the course. If you cancel your place on the course more than 14 days before it is scheduled to take place, you will be refunded your original payment less a 20% handling charge.

If you cancel your place 14 days (or less) before the course, your payment is non-refundable. You may substitute another person at any time before the start of the course provided that they meet any advertised prerequisites for the session. For security reasons you must immediately inform the TechCommNZ Business Manager of the full name and contact details of the substitute person.

If the course is cancelled by TechCommNZ for any reason, you will be refunded your original payment in full. TechCommNZ is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs that you may have incurred in relation to the cancelled course.

Conference payments

Payments made in relation to the TechCommNZ conference are refundable up to two weeks before the scheduled start of the conference. If you cancel your place at the conference more than 14 days before it is scheduled to take place, you will be refunded your original payment less a 20% handling charge.

If you cancel your place 14 days (or less) before the conference, your payment is non-refundable. You may substitute another person at any time before the start of the conference. For security reasons you must immediately inform the TechCommNZ Business Manager of the full name and contact details of the substitute person.

If the conference is cancelled by TechCommNZ for any reason, you will be refunded your original payment in full. TechCommNZ is not liable for any travel, accommodation or other costs that you may have incurred in relation to the cancelled conference.
