Wellington Branch Event - Crisis communications - planning now for the unexpected

In times of ‘crisis’, the first thing people want is timely, clear, and reliable communications: what’s happened, what to do next, and where to go for more information.

David Kerslake will speak to us on the following and will give us a handy template or two for helping us plan for effective communications in times of crisis:

  • Clarifying the role of communications
  • What, when, where, and why
  • The ‘single source of truth’ and getting your messages out there
  • Stakeholder mapping – who to inform, how, why, and when
  • Getting the best from your ‘channels’
  • What can you learn for next time?
