A case study showing what can be done with WordPress

WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and publishing platform powered by PHP and MySQL. It is often customised into a content management system (CMS). It has many features including a plug-in architecture and a template system. WordPress is arguably becoming the most popular CMS in use on the Internet. Find out how a marine research centre solved its website challenges by choosing WordPress.

Yvette Wharton from the Faculty of Science at The University of Auckland will show how she and her IT colleagues used a WordPress template to deliver a website that spans both research and public audiences for the University of Auckland’s Leigh Marine Laboratory.
