Topic
Christchurch Branch Meeting - August 11th - What's Possible on Mobile, and How to Design for TouchWhen Emily Cotlier came back from the WritersUA conference in California, she fired us all anew to think about how we can present our information in the new formats people are coming to expect of us – for use on portable electronic devices such as smartphones and tablets. So we’ve asked Toby Vincent of Smudge Apps to come along to our next presentation and open our Tech Comms eyes to the mobile possibilities. Toby brings a wealth of experience in designing for small devices, some of which he will present to us – and afterwards you can bombard Toby with your questions and also have a closer look at some of the actual devices. Toby has been involved in the design and production of more than 100 Apps, including critically acclaimed Apps in New Zealand and Australia for Sky Television, Vodafone, Yellow, TrueLocal, and Webby Award Honoured work for Fairfax. Toby is a founder of Smudge Apps, and currently the lead experience architect. Smudge and its subsidiary's products have achieved more than 7 million downloads on the iOS platform. When
