December 2010 - End of Year Breakfast Meeting

It seemed very early to be out and about on a coldish Tuesday morning, but it was warm and comfortable at the Crumpet Club when TCANZers started arriving from 7:00 am. Over the next two hours technical writers came, scoffed delicious brekkies, talked non-stop, and drank numerous cups of this and that. The crumpets are made on the premises and cannot be compared with their ordinary packaged cousins available in a supermarket near you!

 

We caught up on local goss, met some new members, swapped ideas (elearning was the main topic du jour at my corner of the table), and discussed how the year has been. I get the impression that for most of us it has been very busy. Although the September earthquake disrupted some businesses, it caused some welcome extra work for some. Every cloud, etc. etc.

 

Your local branch coordination team would like to thank everyone who has supported our events this year. We are planning a mix of traditional and ground-breaking topics for next year, starting with Chris Dorsey's The Art of Presentation on 2 February at 5:30 pm. We will let you know the venue when we have more details.
