In October 2011 a small local working group (comprising ASTC (NSW), ASTC (Vic) and TCANZ representatives) was set up.
The primary purpose of the local working group is to:

Investigate what training options are available for people wishing to start a career in the technical communication field in Australia and New Zealand.

Investigate what training options are available for technical communication professionals to develop and maintain their skills.

Establish whether providing a new ASTC or TCANZ enhanced membership grade, that recognises experience and qualifications, would be useful to members or employers of those members.
