Our survey collects information about the professional development requirements of technical communicators in Australasia. The survey will run from 1st June to 30th June.

The survey is:

• set up on the SurveyMonkey website and will open in a new browser window (or tab).
• in three parts - please complete one or more parts, as appropriate.

Although we are keen to hear from current practitioners, if you have worked in any of these areas within the past three years, we would still like to hear from you.

Technical Communicator Survey

If you are a technical communicator, you can complete our online technical communicator survey (approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey).

Employer Survey

If you are a team leader, manager or work in HR and employ technical communicators, you can complete our employer survey  (approximately 5 minutes to complete the survey).

Placement Agency Survey

If you work at a placement agency that finds full-time, part-time or contract work for technical communicators, you can complete our placement agency survey  (approximately 5 minutes to complete the survey).

Results of the Survey

The results of the survey will be published on the TCANZ, ASTC (NSW) and ASTC (Vic) websites.

Local Working Group - Ongoing Tasks

The ongoing tasks planned by the local working group include:

• monitoring progress of existing training and certification schemes, and
• monitoring interest in (and potential for) a local scheme for certification of professional competence.
