Our community is growing

The latest membership numbers are in and the great news is that, as a member, you are now in the company of nearly 400 people just like you. In addition, this newsletter reaches another 600 people who have an interest in our industry.

The figures have got me thinking about what an amazing network of Technical Communicators we have within TCANZ. I strongly encourage you to take full advantage of the benefits of our community.

It's important to add to your skills, but the true value of being part of TechCommNZ lies in the opportunities we provide to build your professional network with your peers. These are the connections that offer career-long support, shared knowledge and chances for growth. I hear so many stories about the fantastic work our members are doing and, by sharing yours, you encourage and inspire others.

I’d like to welcome you to use the branch meetings and other TechCommNZ events to make those connections. They are your meetings, for you to use, and we urge you to actively participate and mould these sessions to meet your needs. We’re working on improving branch meetings this year and, as always, we welcome and value your feedback on how we can make them better.

If you’re a member skirting around the edges and a bit hesitant to jump into networking, we’d love to meet you. It is our aim to offer all first-timers a personal greeting and introductions - so don’t worry about coming on your own - we’ll look after you!

Let's grow our profession together.
